about us.

we were recently married on 12/28/2010.
this means that we are newlyweds!
being a newlywed is everything we could have ever imagined and more.
to be quite honest though, we had it different than most newly married couples do.
our original plan was to get married and then one week later, move to texas for the air force.
to make a long story short, we ended up having to wait another month.
since zachary already quit his job and we didn't have anywhere to live,
we moved in with his parents!
some might think, "how awkward would that be?!" and to you i
say, "oh how mistaken you are."
we had a blast living with them!
it was great having more than just two people to play games or go to dinner with.
we were very grateful for their hospitality in putting up with us for a month.
now we have moved on and are busy living the life of luxury, exploring the world
{and by the world, i mean a little teeny, tiny town right on the border of mexico} as two kids just crazy in love.
we are happy wherever we are, as long as we have each other.
after all, home is where the air force takes us!

just a little bit about us personally...

zachary: he is one of the most kind and sincere boys in the world. i don't know how i ever got him to agree to marry me. i'm grateful that he accepts my shortcomings and pushes me to become better than i am. he is an incredible example to me in all that he does. he truly has become my best friend.  i would say that his biggest strength is his sociable personality. he knows how to talk to people in a way that will capture him. i am in awe everytime i see him in front of a crowd. he is currently getting ready to start his training as an air force pilot. he's not exactly sure what he wants to fly yet, but as of late, has been leaning toward fighters. i guess we will know in a couple of months!

sarah: i grew up in a tiny utah town of around 5,000 people. i always thought it would be cool to get out and explore what is outside of the "utah bubble", but i never thought it would actually happen. i especially  never thought that i would marry a military boy. in fact, i remember telling myself specifically not to! look at me now though: moving around the country married to an air force lieutenant. it has been one of the best choices that i have ever made in my life. sure, there are hard times that come along with it. ie. long hours at work, being apart for months at a time, etc. but we believe that the most difficult things in life, bring the greatest rewards. i hope you enjoy reading about our adventures and don't hesitate to put your two cents in!
